Amaretti (Gluten-free, Italian-style Macarons)
"I don't often drink coffee, but these amaretti sent to me by Conscious Collective Manila just begged for it. They're made from an Umbrian recipe of a real Italian Nonna... amaretti stays crisp outside but chewy inside, with lots of almond flavor. I love almonds and marzipan, so these really hit the spot. .. Best of all, all your purchase benefits farmers and small business owners in Batangas."

"... on my little @ceramikalokal plate, I put some delicious orange biscotti and amaretti cookies from the amazing social enterprise known as @consciouscollectivemnl - they're helping so many communities cope, engaging them to make these products which, by the way, are delicious ❤️."

Amaretti alla maniera Umbria are gluten-free, Italian-style macarons. We follow an Umbrian recipe recommended by our good friend, Maria Cicconi from Fuscagna, Localitta Titta, Citta di Castello. Maria was born in 1936 and the essentials of this recipe were passed onto her by her mother and reportedly her mother before that.
